How can I help my cat lose weight? Oct 11th 2011, 13:57 I have a 25lb cat and I am very worried about her. She cannot clean herself, and when she's not outside she leaves dark spots all over the house because she rubs her feces on the floor. We give her baths and wipe her regularly but I fear more for her health. We've tried setting out less food for her but nothing has changed and she also gets very 'screechy' when we deprive her of the cat food. Since I know weight loss for an obese cat can be dangerous, I'm honestly scared of not letting her eat when she tells me she's hungry. We are not financially able to take her to the vet for guidance and possibly medication, so I come here hoping to find some help for her, if any. Does anyone here own an obese cat? What steps can I take for her possible weight loss?
