Cat of the Week: Layne
From Franny Syufy, your Guide to Cats
This Week's Cat
Layne
Okay, I confess, I'm an absolute sucker for fuzzy red kittens, and Layne has his own style of enchantment that should soften the heart of any curmudgeon. People sometimes wonder why orange cats are called "red." It's a matter of genetics, a fascinating study. Strangely enough, most red cats are males, but I've met a number of females in my day. They are often fondly called, "Ginger," "Marmelade," and my favorite, "Sunshine Boys," and I've never met a red cat who didn't have a loving, loyal personality.
