Chronic Renal Failure in Cats

Although more common in senior cats,  Chronic Renal Failure, aka Chronic Renal Disease, or CRF, has been diagnosed in cats as young as five or six years old. It is a serious condition evidenced by gradual, irreversible deterioration of kidney function over a period of months or years.

OCD in Cats

Activities such as grooming are not only common in cats, but necessary to keep their coats clean and free of debris. Cats also use grooming as a relaxing diversion, such as when they have just committed a feline faux pax, such as just missing the target in a jump. It is only when the grooming becomes incessant to the point of hair loss, that grooming becomes an obsessive-compulsive behavior. Find out more about OCD in cats.

Carpets and Allergies to Cats
