Why is My Cat Vomiting so Much?

photo of veterinarian examining catLinda emailed me because she was very worried about her cat, Bosco, who had been vomiting continually for several days. She wanted to know why he was vomiting frequently and what she could do about it.

Because her question was short with few details about her cat's history or other symptoms, there were a significantly large array of potential possibilities. Manhattan Neigboring Pet Fosters/Adopters Urgently Needed

The gothamist online news has posted the urgent need for either adopters or fosters for hundreds of cats and dogs displaced by Hurricane Sandy, who are scheduled to be killed this week for lack of space and resources at the Manhattan animal shelters. You are needed NOW to adopt or foster a cat, kitten, or pooch, but you must live within a 25 mile radius of Manhattan. There are other ways we all can help, though... Learn how.

Human Food for Cats?

Not. A. Good. Idea. Certainly a sliver of turkey or chicken from your dinner plate won't kill a cat, but you're helping him develop bad habits by feeding him table scraps. What happens when Aunt Phoebe comes for dinner and Simon jumps on her lap to scarf up her meal? Although Thanksgiving is still over two weeks away, it's not too early to start thinking about how safe or not those ingredients in your sumptious dinner will be.

Learn a number of reasons why giving cats human foods is not a good idea.

Pictured here are two young kittens who appear to be Siamese, both sound asleep, although one of them has "overslept" their cat bed.

One of the things we love the most about cats is the fact that they can often be so unintentionally funny. People who think cats are aloof simply don't know cats as you and I do. You can also submit your own funny cat photos... Learn how.
