From Franny Syufy, your Guide to Cats

We celebrated March with wonderful Tabby Cats, the first day of Spring, a review of an unforgettable cat book, Paw Prints at Owl Cottage, and an article to help the cause of Crying Older Cats.

We have even more in store for April, so hang on to those furballs and enjoy the ride. Meanwhile, check out the free email courses at the right. And view more information and a full list here.

Lovey's adoptive mom gives this senior girl the kind of care she deserves, by clipping her nails, brushing her coat, and taking her to the veterinarian when needed. She is apparently a very conscientious catmom, and it's no wonder Lovey is so loving and loyal to her.

One of the more common discussions in the Cats Forum as well as my email box is "how do I keep my cats from surfing the counters?"

Kitchen Counters attract cats like a magnet, for several reasons:

  • Cats Love Heights
  • Kitchen Counters Smell Good!
  • They Like to Drink Running Water
  • They Tend to Go Where You Don't Want Them

Peaches, the Wonder Kitten

This has to be one of the sweetest kitten photos I’ve ever seen. Peaches, the Wonder Kitten, was submitted to the Funniest Cat Picture Show and Tell.

Peaches was only about six weeks old when she was rescued from a kill center. She was in critical condition with a diaphragmatic hernia. She fully recovered after surgery, and is the light of her adoptive mom’s life. Peaches is just as sweet as her photo, according to her mom.
