 | I'd hoped to have a brand new article today, but ran a few hours short, due to human and feline doctor visits. My assignment this coming week is to finish the piece, which is all about my (cat-related) passions. | How Can I Enter My Cat for Cat Picture of the Week?
Rarely a week goes by that I don't receive one or more emails asking how to enter a cat or kitten for Cat Picture of the Week? The truth is that there is no direct way of entering any cat for that designation. Many years ago, most of the photos featured here came from my own collection of photos of my own family cats. Gradually, readers started emailing photos, and occasionally (after securing permission from the reader), I would feature one of these photos on my website. Then one day, I thought it would be nice to select a photo from one of those I'd received, and as a sort of a surprise (honor, if you will), call it "Cat Picture of the Week." Our first Cat Picture of the Week for September is beautiful Snickel, who was adopted as a small kitten thirteen years ago.

"Snick," as she is lovingly called by her adoptive Mom, does not let her many health challenges faze her. Although she sometimes naps more, Snickel still enjoys playing with her toys, and loves her snuggles with Mom. Snickel was chosen from the Joy of Senior Cats Show and Tell feature on this website.
