For example, Mario, pictured here, is completely blind, and has been for many years, but he is the sole caregiver for his cats. Included also are those with mobility issues, such as being confined to a wheelchair, cat care while pregnant, and cat care by those with autism and other related neuropsychological disabilities. The tradeoff is the gift of cat therapy they receive in turn. Since it was time for a retest of his blood glucose for feline diabetes, we had that done also, to save an extra traumatic trip to our local vet. In May we celebrate tuxedo cats, and my first selection for Cat Picture of the Week is Puffin, a smart and comical eighteen month old tuxedo girl who is delightful to behold. Puffin first appeared in susishank's life when she "dropped in" on the shoulder of a colleague who had found her outside at the studio where suzishank is a photographer. He had known that she had been hoping to find a tuxedo cat to keep her other cat from being lonely while Suzishank was working. Puffin was only about two months old at the time, and she immediately took to Suzishank's lap and to her home where she went that night and has lived ever since. Read more of Puffin's story and find out how to submit your tuxedo cat's story and two photos. Who knows? You may have the next cat of the week in your own home. | | | | Related Searches | | | | Featured Articles | | | | | | Sign up for more free newsletters on your favorite topics | | | | You are receiving this newsletter because you subscribed to the About.com Cats newsletter.
