| | In kicking off 2012, I'd like to issue a challenge to my readers, the majority of whom I assume to be responsible cat parents. I've listed my own resolutions for helping the myriad of cats I don't personally live with. Since no one can do it alone, I'm seeking an army of caring Friends of Cats, each willing to work toward one or more of these goals. To join, post your comments here. | | 2012 Resolutions for the Cats of the World While I've already shared my personal New Year's Resolutions for my own cats, I still felt compelled to create a record of my intentions toward doing my small part to help other cats. These resolutions are all challenging, and none of them are goals I could possibly achieve by myself. Thankfully, there are thousands of other caring people who contribute every day toward the furtherance of these goals: volunteers for animal shelters, TNR groups, kitten fosters; Forum members whose passion is always the cats. And, of course, the scores of writers and advocates for cats, who spread the same messages to their readers on a daily basis. Photo of Senior Cat Raleigh © HOSTPat
